Under Body Design Engineer

The primary responsibility will be developing the body structures and component in the Under Body Design department. Activities will include creating 3D designs and 2D layouts for the responsible areas. Working in teams to develop body systems that meet or exceed customer expectations through collaboration with other design groups, test and manufacturing.
Design areas include the following: body structural elements for the engine room, floor, and bumper; styled parts (hood, grill, front and rear bumper facia).
Material types include the following: steel, high strength steel, ultra high strength steel, aluminum, magnesium, composites, plastics, asphalts, rubber.
Other aspects covers are processing, stamping, casting, extrusions, injection molding, vac forming, forging, and others.
Additional responsibilities may include the research and development of technologies for future vehicle applications; Manage development projects and coordinating with other departments, suppliers, and manufacturing.
BSME and a minimum 1 year closely related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background should include engineering layout, drafting, CATIA, vendor support/negotiation and manufacturing support.
Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
