Powersports Project Manager

Driven by the continuing maturation of product developmentin North America and the need for continual improvement of efficiency andeffectiveness; the Project Coordinator function in Powersports is expanding responsibilitiesand is in need of a leader to help the group grow. As a new role in this division, the ProjectCoordinator aims to take on project management duties to support the evolvingbusiness and balance the efforts of product development leaders with anincreased focus on process standardization. Candidate can expect hands-on training in Honda project coordinationfollowed by a transition to the Project Manager role; with potential forsupervisory responsibility over the Project Coordination function.
The primary roles and responsibilities include, but notlimited to:
- Working closely with, and in support of, ProductOwners to conduct the project in the best way possible to meet the needs of thebusiness while respecting Honda development flow standards and documentation requirements.
- Takes full ownership of development guidelinesin the Ohio engineering division to include overall schedule templates andevent lists.
Leads the development ofnew guidelines with stakeholder consensus and maintains these documents in aguideline database.
- Collaborates with Project Coordinators to manageall vehicle and technology development projects in the Powersports division.
- Supports Project Coordinators by coaching,discussion, problem solving to drive continual improvement of internaloperation standards.
- Coordinates assigned projects to include:reservation of rooms, vehicles, equipment, and interpreters if necessary.
- Communicateswith project team in Japan to execute projects.
- Communicate unique requirements across manyproject events and participate groups; follows up on deliverables from projectteam members.
- Creates group strategy including mission,roadmap, and proposes annual execution plans for the group.
- Supports Department Manager to create andmaintain a visual management system for ongoing projects.
BSME or Bachelor degree in a related project management scope and a minimum of 8 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication, presentation, organization, planning and leadership skills required. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. An understanding of lean concepts such as PDCA and Value Stream Mapping is desired but not required. A successful candidate will be able to effectively convey vision, ideas, strategy, goals, action plans, issues and status through logic-based compelling reports and presentations. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
