Description:
The main role for this position is to maintain, operate, and calibrate equipment pertaining to the testing of Driver Assist Systems (DAS) and Driver Support Systems testing.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED is required.
Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience with automotive instrumentation or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Candidate should possess good communication, troubleshooting, basic math, and hands-on skills to prepare prototype vehicles for testing, troubleshooting vehicle/equipment issues, as well as propose/solve related issues.
Candidate must be proficient with computers and applications for data acquisition as well as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Candidate must possess good verbal and written English communication skills.
Candidate must possess a valid drivers license to operate vehicles on campus as well as vehicle proving grounds.
Ability to perform routine activities with little or no instruction, perform new assignments with general instruction.
Understanding of automotive CAN bus and troubleshooting preferred.
Responsibilities:
Maintain various pieces of test equipment such as data acquisition systems, test fixtures, and calibration facilities.
Fabricate wire harnesses per instruction to be used for testing or vehicle prototyping.
Assist test engineers to operate equipment, setup test, create test reports, troubleshoot test vehicles, analyze test data.
Repair test equipment as needed, otherwise coordinate repairs with equipment manufacturer.
Plan activities within specific guidelines to meet deadlines.
Travel to various proving grounds or production facilities to test and/or troubleshoot test vehicles.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
