Fuel Economy Engineer

Honda R&D Americas, Inc. (HRA) was founded in CentralOhio in 1984 and is responsible for creating advanced products and technologiesthat provide new value to Honda and Acura customers. We have the capability of"complete product creation" ? developing all-new products, startingfrom market and technology research and design styling through engineeringdesign, prototype fabrication and testing, local parts procurement and supportfor mass production preparation. This includes many areas of design (interiorand exterior), crash & safety testing, wind-tunnel testing, materialsresearch, fabrication, engine dynamometer testing, and hot & cold weathertesting. Some of the more recent vehicles we have developed are the 2018models of the Acura TLX, Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, and HondaRidgeline. HRA in Ohio is the 2nd largest R&D facility forHonda in the world, after Japan, and is engaged in the development and testingof Honda and Acura automobiles and Honda power sports, and is also taking aleading role in the advancement of leading-edge safety, driver assistive, andenvironmental technologies.
Candidate will be responsible for managing fuel economy in automotiveproducts in their prototype stages according to in-house and regulatoryrequirements. The position will be heavily involved with in-vehicle engine testingand various power-train testing. The candidate should be passionate aboutautomobiles and energy management/conservation.
Areas of Focus:
Fuel economy optimization, including total vehicleintegration. Includes, but not limited to:
Engine unit fuel consumption optimization
Transmission control system optimization
Inter-function energy management
In-vehicle testing of prototype vehicles and engines onpublic road, proving ground, and chassis dynamometer. Some unit enginedynamometer testing is possible.
Maintainingindividual test schedules for responsibilities while working as part of largerteams to complete vehicle development.
Thoroughlydocumenting and then presenting work to management and review committees, formass production approval.
Collaboratingclosely with other function groups of other vehicle systems, for cooperativesystem integration.
Expanding researchcapabilities, project coordination.
Updating or creating test manuals astechnologies & engineering methodologies evolve.
BSME/EE or related degree and a minimum of 1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands-on experience with vehicle components and/or complex control systems is desired, as well as a technical background in engine theory, mechanics, solenoids/actuators, fluid systems. Candidates should be capable of working with multiple, fluid schedules while managing their own. Previous project management experience is highly desirable. Requires highly proficient and adaptable computer skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, MATLAB, LABVIEW. Ability to travel up to 10%.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
