Opening for vehicle research engineer with major automotive manufacturer at Central Ohio facility. Only one year experience required. Responsibilities will include building complex finite element models for CAE analysis of vehicle body and chassis strength and durability requirements using ANSA or Hypermesh. This will include conducting advanced computer simulations of physical tests with ABAQUS and NASTRAN, evaluating results of the analysis and correlating computer model to physical testing. Additional responsibilities will include preparing and presenting final results and recommending design improvements based on results of analysis.
BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience using Hypermesh, Abaqus, Nastran and CATIA V5 desired. PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
